Gutter Cleaning

Clear gutters move water away from your home. Clogged gutters cause problems. We remove leaves, needles, and debris by hand, flush your downspouts, and make sure everything drains the way it should.

Most homes take about an hour. We clean up everything that comes out.

Why Gutter Cleaning Matters

Gutters are easy to ignore until something goes wrong. By then, the damage is usually done. Keeping them clear costs a lot less than fixing what happens when they fail.

Water Damage Prevention

When gutters overflow, water pours down the side of your house. It seeps behind siding, soaks into fascia boards, and finds its way into walls. Over time, that moisture causes rot, mold, and structural damage that's expensive to repair. Clear gutters channel water away from your home where it belongs.

Foundation Protection

Gutters direct water away from your foundation. When they're clogged, water pools around the base of your home. In the Wenatchee Valley's clay-heavy soil, that water can shift the ground and put pressure on foundation walls. Cracks and settling follow. A working gutter system keeps water flowing away from the foundation, not toward it.

Ice Dam Prevention

Winters in the Wenatchee Valley bring freezing temperatures. When gutters are clogged, water can't drain. It sits, freezes, and expands. Ice backs up under shingles. When it melts, water gets into your attic and ceilings. Ice dams can tear gutters right off the house. Cleaning gutters before winter is one of the best ways to prevent this.

Pest Prevention

Clogged gutters are attractive to pests. Standing water breeds mosquitoes. Decomposing leaves make comfortable homes for insects, rodents, and birds. Once pests set up in your gutters, they often find their way into your attic or walls. Clean gutters remove the habitat they're looking for.

Our Process

We do gutter cleaning the thorough way, not the fast way. Here's what we do at every job:

1

Clear Debris by Hand

We work our way around your house, removing leaves, pine needles, shingle grit, and whatever else has accumulated. We scoop it all out by hand. This method is slower than blowing it out, but we can see exactly what's in there and make sure nothing gets missed.

2

Flush Downspouts

Downspouts clog more often than gutters themselves. We flush each one with water to clear any blockages. If there's a stubborn clog, we work it loose so water flows freely all the way to the ground.

3

Check Flow

Before we leave, we run water through the system to make sure everything drains properly. We check for standing water, slow spots, and any areas where the gutter might not be pitched correctly. If we spot an issue, we'll let you know.

4

Clean Up Below

All the debris we pull out of your gutters gets bagged up and taken with us. We don't leave piles of muck on your lawn or in your flower beds. When we're done, the ground looks the same as when we arrived.

What's Included

Every gutter cleaning includes:

  • Complete debris removal - leaves, needles, dirt, shingle grit, and anything else that's accumulated
  • Downspout flushing - we clear blockages and verify water flows through each downspout
  • Spot check for damage - we'll let you know if we see loose hangers, sagging sections, or other issues that need attention
  • Ground cleanup - we bag and haul away all debris, leaving your property clean

Pair It With Window Cleaning

Since we're already at your house with ladders, adding gutter cleaning to a window cleaning appointment often makes sense. We can quote both services together if you're interested.

Pricing

Starting at $150

Pricing depends on the size of your home and how much gutter you have. A single-story ranch is less work than a two-story with steep rooflines and gutters on multiple levels.

Most homes fall in the $150-$275 range. We'll give you an exact price when you request a quote.

Factors that affect price: linear footage of gutters, number of stories, roof pitch and accessibility, and how long since the last cleaning.

Common Questions

Most homes do well with twice a year: once in late fall after the leaves drop, and once in spring to clear out anything that accumulated over winter. If you have a lot of pine trees nearby, you might need it more often since needles shed year-round. We can take a look and let you know what makes sense for your situation.

Not usually. As long as we can access all sides of your home, you don't need to be there. We'll text you when we arrive and when we're finished. If there are gates to unlock or dogs to manage, we'll coordinate with you ahead of time.

We'll let you know. We often find loose hangers, sections that have pulled away from the fascia, or seams that have started to leak. We don't do gutter repairs ourselves, but we'll tell you exactly what we saw so you can decide if you want to have it fixed. No surprises later.

Gutter guards help, but they don't eliminate the need for cleaning entirely. Small debris like pine needles and shingle grit still gets through most guards, and stuff piles up on top of them too. Guards usually mean you can go longer between cleanings, not that you never need them. We clean gutters with guards all the time.
